More than just an educator, Dr. Gabriel saw an opportunity to shape futures, transform lives, and build winning legacies in the form of Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel, Inc. He built the institution in 1993 where he served as the President and CEO.

The Inspiration Behind the Institution

When asked what inspired him to establish a school, Dr. Gabriel recalled his deep connection with the resettlement high school in Sapang Palay, where he served as both a classroom teacher and a guidance counselor. His extensive background in psychology, culminating in a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UST, equipped him with the knowledge and passion to innovate in the field of education.

"Since the people of Sapang Palay always came to me for guidance and training, I felt a strong responsibility to do more. I wanted to create an institution that catered to students who were often overlooked, those with behavioral challenges or those at risk of being removed from traditional schools. My goal was to contribute to therapeutic education, helping students undergo a transformative process that would enable them to become the professionals they aspired to be." Just as ACP was devoted to crafting awards for people who deserved to be recognized, Dr. Gabriel was one with advocacy to provide a chance for students to thrive and grow toward their full potential.

When asked about the biggest lesson he’s learned as both an educator and a business owner, Dr. Gabriel regarded, 

“The greatest lesson I’ve learned as an educator and business owner is that true success comes from serving others. Whether in education or business, people should always come first. In this institution, everyone is treated with respect and equality, not because of titles but because of the value each person brings.”
